Ji Sung Park is a retired South Korean footballer who was known for his versatility and work ethic on the field. He was born on February 25, 1981 in Goheung, South Korea. Park started his professional career with Myongji University before moving to the K League with FC Seoul.
In 2002, Park transferred to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, where he gained recognition for his performances in the UEFA Champions League. He later moved to Manchester United in 2005, where he became the first Asian player to captain the team. Park enjoyed a successful career at United, winning multiple Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
Park also represented the South Korean national team, earning 100 caps and representing his country in multiple FIFA World Cups. He was known for his high work rate, tactical discipline, and ability to perform in big matches.
After leaving Manchester United, Park had brief stints at Queens Park Rangers and PSV Eindhoven before retiring from professional football in 2014. He is now involved in coaching and ambassadorial roles for Manchester United and South Korean football.
